How to register and why you should.

If you want to take full advantage of all the new features on the site you should register.  Unfortunately, there is no way for me to transfer information from the forum database to the website's new database.  So if you've already registered for the forums you'll have to re-register for the website.  I can assure you it's worth it, and I'll discuss in just a second.

How to register:

1. On the right sidebar, at the very bottom (underneath the recent comments) there will be a link that says register.  Either click that or click this.
2. Enter your desired username and a working email.
3. A temporary, and rather long, password will be emailed to you shortly thereafter.
4. Copy the password and follow the link in the email to login.
5. Once logged in you'll be taken to your control panel.  While here you can change your password to something you like and upload an avatar.

There you go.  To log back in just use the login feature at the bottom of the right sidebar.  I may move it above the recent comments soon, we'll see.

Now why would you go through the hassle of registering you may ask?  Well, for a few reasons.  The first is that it should only take a minute or so.  I know my server has been running a little slower lately (which is my provider's fault), but it should still be really quick and painless.  Second because it let's you have an avatar show up with all your comments; the new avatar system works much better than the forums.  Third, I'm looking for new writers to help out the site directly.  You need to be registered to be able to do this.
